About Support Services
Support Services provides the critical administrative and logistical backbone that keeps the Milledgeville Police Department running efficiently. While less visible than patrol or investigations, these functions are essential to effective law enforcement.
Communications / Dispatch
Trained dispatchers receive and prioritize 911 calls, coordinate officer responses, and maintain radio communications with field units around the clock.
Evidence & Property
The Evidence Unit maintains the chain of custody for all physical evidence and found/seized property in strict compliance with legal standards for court admissibility.
Administrative Services
Handles departmental finances, purchasing, personnel administration, grant management, and coordination with City of Milledgeville government.
Fleet & Equipment
Manages the maintenance, repair, and procurement of all departmental vehicles and law enforcement equipment to ensure officer readiness.
