About the Records Division
The Records Division maintains all official departmental records in accordance with the Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq.). This includes incident reports, accident reports, arrest records, and supporting documentation.
Requesting Records
Most records are available to the public upon written request. To request a copy of a police report:
- Visit the Records Division in person at 125 Floyd L Griffin Jr St. (M–F, 8:30am–5pm)

- View available documents directly on our Police Reports page
You will need to provide the report number, date of incident, and a valid photo ID. A fee of $0.10 per page may apply.
Arrest Record Restriction
If you were arrested but charges were dismissed or not prosecuted, you may be eligible to have your arrest record restricted from public view under Georgia's First Offender Act or related statutes.

Processing Time
Most open records requests are fulfilled within 3 business days. Requests requiring legal review or redaction may take up to 10 business days. You will be notified if additional time is needed.
