Law Enforcement Explorers

A youth program building the next generation of public servants.

About the Explorer Post

The Milledgeville Police Department Explorer Post provides hands-on educational training for young adults ages 14–20 who are interested in a career in law enforcement. The program is affiliated with Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America.

Explorers learn about the purposes, mission, and daily operations of law enforcement through ride-alongs, simulations, competitions, and community service — all under the supervision of MPD officers.
